"Amid this pandemic is a silver lining. We may have forgotten to slow down; we may have been instruments for divisiveness and narrow-mindedness. We may have taken some things for granted; we may have forgotten the principles of the Golden Rule. We may have forgotten to smell the roses and see the smiles in the faces of our loved ones.

Solitude has reminded us, so amid this pandemic, we can see signs of rebirth and new beginning. We may have been bored of our own world and secretly wished we were not here but in another place as another person. But this has been a wake-up call for us to appreciate what we have and what we are, and this has been a reminder that we can do the most of what we have and strive to be the best of what we are.

This field where we are needs this renewed mindset, for the sake of the Filipino learner who deserves an education of quality, no matter what challenges we face.

Let us join the echo of voices and shout our creed, “Sulong Edukalidad”, until everyone believes that what we clamor for is what needs to be done to help us rise after a big fall and emerge victorious."
